Global Financial Crisis: Implications for Africa

Lemma W. Senbet

University of Maryland

Abstract

This synthesis brings out issues in global financial crisis, with particular attention to Africa. The foundation for the synthesis comes from the rest of the papers in this issue, as well as other resources. After broad characterisation of the benefits and the costs of globalisation it highlights the challenges to globalisation of Africa. It then provides and discusses policy implications.
